Cary Meehan is running a seasonal Foraging Course for those interested in Living off the Land and making more of the free produce in our countryside.

The Spring Course was a great success and we are now taking bookings for the Summer Foraging Classes.  The following dates coincide with high tides to make foraging possible.

Sunday 13th July 10.00am to 5.00pm

Tuesday 15th July 10.00am to 5.00pm

Wednesday 16th July 10.00am to 5.00pm

The morning begins with a short presentation by Cary followed by a trip to local foraging areas such as the beach, forest or fields to collect some free food.  Sensible footwear is essential.

The afternoon is then spent preparing and cooking the food collected in the morning.

Cary will make handouts available through a drop box on-line.

The course costs €20.00 per person and booking is essential.

The Autumn Foraging Course will take place in September 2014.

The Course is supported by the Education and Training Board.
